Trip to find The Gwoat, Penruddock

 Last weekend, myself and Geoff finally made the trip up to Cumbria hoping to find the farmhouse his dad was born in 100 years ago this year.  Years ago, Geoff found an old watercolour in his house named "The Gwoat, Penruddock" and after starting researching his family history found on his father's birth certificate that he had been born there.  We had a few problems comparing old and new maps of the area since the A66 was built and up to recently couldn't be sure whether the house had been demolished or not.  However we were very happy to find it on our first day - now named Wydon Farm, just next to Beckses Caravan Site outside Penruddock.
